Expo Midwest 2006: A Step Away from Royalty
If golf or baseball aren't your thing, attendees to Glass Expo Midwest (GEMS)
2006 can catch a glimpse of royalty and history all at once. The
Field Museum in Chicago has the Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of
the Pharaohs Exhibition on display through the end of 2006. While
the boss is playing golf or the spouse is attending seminars, attendees
can venture over to the museum to see ancient Egyptian artifacts.
The golf outing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August
9, 2006 at the Highland Woods Golf Course in Schaumburg, Ill. That
evening, GEMS attendees are invited to purchase tickets for the
patio package to the White Sox/Yankees baseball game, which includes
an all-you-can-eat dinner and drinks, two hours prior to the opening
pitch.
Glass Expo Midwest begins on Thursday, August 10 with seminars and
workshops starting at 8 a.m. at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel
and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill, a suburb of Chicago. The
trade show floor opens at 3 p.m. on the 10th and at 10 a.m. on Friday,
August 11.
