Americas Glass Association Glass Expo Opens in California

AGA chairperson Barbara Haynes and AGA president Donn Harter open Americas Glass Association's 27th annual event.

Glass Expo '06, sponsored by Americas Glass Association (AGA), opened today at the Anaheim Convention Center with a series of vigorous seminars and two-day trade show. AGA president Donn Harter opened the event with a rousing reflection of its 27 years in existence.

"We've got a lot more exciting news to come in the days ahead," said Harter as the event is expected to expand nationally next year.

Attendees were able to choose from a wide variety of presentations. Keynote speaker Sarita Maybin led an interactive seminar that was both motivation and practical. Entitled " Adapting, Succeeding and Thriving in the Workplace," it helped remind the owners and managers in the audience about managing and motivitating employees and how to learn to thrive on change.

Sessions today include customer communication, design loads, components and cladding, and understand the insurance labyrinth. Seminars are being offered for both automotive and architectural shops. The trade show runs 11-5 today and 10-4 on Saturday. Onsite registration is available.
