Glass Gets a New Las Vegas Home
The
Las Vegas construction boom has been good for the local branch of
Giroux Glass Inc. So good, in fact, that the company relocated to
a brand-new, 20,000-square-foot facility. Office and field staff
moved into the new building, located in Southwest Las Vegas, last
August, and by September it was 100-percent operational.
According to Jonathan Schuyler, chief estimator and partner, the
company quickly is outgrowing its new location and is looking to
add approximately 30,000 square feet more.
The new facility has capabilities for fabricating curtainwall and
storefront products, as well as unitizing operations.
"We also have a polishing machine to assist us in the custom interior
work we pursue," says Schuyler.
In addition to its new location, Giroux also is celebrating because
its new building is one of three finalists for the Southern Nevada
chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties
Spotlight Award. Giroux's general contractor entered the facility
in the competition, which is designed to recognize distinguished
industrial and office development in Southern Nevada. The winner
will be announced March 8.
