Gardner Glass Products' CEO Dies

Tommy Huskey, chief executive officer (CEO) of Gardner Glass Products in North Wilkesboro, N.C., has died from complications from pancreatic cancer.

Huskey's career in the mirror and glass industry spanned more than 35 years. He was born in Wilkes County, N.C., and started his glass industry career in sales for Carolina Mirror, after working for a brief period for Lowe's Hardware. In his 16-year career with Carolina, he worked his way up to president and CEO, in which capacity he served for more than 5 years. In 1996, he joined Gardner Glass Products, and with the help of his team bought out the Gardner family in 1999.

Huskey was the creator of the Dreamwalls vision for Gardner Glass Products.
