Exhibitors
to Offer a Variety of Glazing Materials During Glass Expo Northeast
March 13, 2009
The Glass Expo Northeast (GENE) exhibitors are preparing
to display their latest and greatest, including new glass and glazing
products, at the upcoming event set to take place March 25-26, 2009,
at the Hyatt Regency Long Island Wind Watch Hotel & Golf Club
on Long Island (Hauppauge), N.Y.
General Glass International (GGI) of Secaucus, N.J., is one company
that will be exhibiting at the show. GGI offers a variety of products
for the glazing industry. The company's newest development is digital
ceramic frit painting on glass, which according to Steven Brenner,
vice president of fabrication sales, they have been offering for
about two months.
"Since we started offering it, the process has opened doors
for us that were closed before and is keeping us busy," Brenner
told USGNN.com. He says that custom designs are available
and, unlike traditional screenprinting, there are no screen or set-up
charges.
In addition, GGI will also be showing its specialty glass patterns
as well as its all-glass architectural door system
The event, co-sponsored by USGlass and the Long Island Glass
Association, is expected to draw attendees from a variety of areas,
ranging from architects and specifiers, architectural glass and
metal company owners and managers, and suppliers of glass, metal,
computers, software, construction services, equipment and machinery,
films and tints, shower doors, doors, windows and related hardware,
and more.
