Learn
the Ins and Outs of Coatings at Glass Expo Northeast
The upcoming Glass Expo Northeast (GENE), March 25-26, 2009,
has on tap a number of seminars designed specifically for the architectural
glass industry.
For example, Nestor Torres, national architectural manager of Pittsburgh-based
PPG Performance Glazings, will present a discussion on "Low-E
Coatings' Roles in Energy-Efficient Glazing" on Thursday, March
26, from 9-10 a.m. As Torres points out, in a time when energy prices
are continually increasing, every opportunity to be more cost-efficient
counts. Low-E coatings are just one such selection that can be utilized
to pass along additional value to customers. While this session
on these specialized coatings will be beneficial for all audiences,
architects will benefit from the AIA credit it provides.
The event, co-sponsored by USGlass and the Long Island Glass
Association, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Long Island Wind
Watch Hotel & Golf Club on Long Island (Hauppauge), N.Y.
