GEMS
Session to Offer IRS Secrets
If you've ever been audited, you know that it's a business interruption
you can't afford. That's why an upcoming session at Glass Expo Midwest™
2007 (GEMS) will teach glass shop owners the IRS secrets they need
to know.
Lance Wallach of Plainview, N.Y., the National Society of Accounting
Professionals Speaker of the Year, will share smart tax planning
strategies that GEMS attendees can use to reduce the risk of audit
and information on how to pay less in income tax. In this seminar,
specifically geared to glass shops, attendees will learn about a
deductible benefit plan where the money comes out tax-free before
retirement. Wallach will explain how to turn business succession,
asset protection and estate plans into tax deductions. Attendees
also will learn how to reduce insurance costs.
Glass Expo Midwest will be held October 9-10 in Grand Rapids,
Mich., at Amway Grand Plaza Hotel & DeVos Place. The event is co-sponsored
by the Michigan Glass Association, Detroit Glass Dealers Association,
Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin Glass Associations,
Illinois Glazing Association, the Association of Glazing Contractors
and USGlass magazine. Members of the co-sponsoring trade associations
and USGNN.com/USGlass readers may pre-register for free through
September 21.
For others, pre-registration through September 21, is only $59
for a full registration, $49 for a daily registration and $10 for
trade show only.
After September 21, it will cost $59 for a daily registration and
$79 for full registration and $19 for trade show only for both members
and non-members.
"IRS Secrets You Should Know" will be held on Tuesday, October
9 at 10:30 a.m.
