GANA Announces Joint Glass Week, BEC Conference in
2008
The Glass Association of North America (GANA) announced this week that the
2008 editions of Glass Week and the Building Envelope Contractors
(BEC) Conference will take place together at the Rio All-Suites
Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Glass Week will be held February
13-17, 2008, while the BEC Conference will be held afterwards on
February 17-19, 2008. A joint reception on the evening of February
17th will be open to all attendees.
"This is a very exciting time for the Glass Association of
North America," said Andy Gum, GANA First Vice President. "Our
ability to leverage the success and momentum of our BEC Conference
by co-locating with Glass Week will provide many benefits not only
to our members, but to our entire industry. This 'Super Conference'
will allow our attendees to maximize their financial and time investment.
We feel that the collaboration of these two great conferences aligns
perfectly with the overall needs of our industry."
The GANA Board of Directors considered the benefits of merging the
leaders of the flat glass manufacturing and fabrication industries
with the leaders in the contract glazing industry under one roof
and felt that it would provide a great way to create an exciting
synergy. Furthermore, the benefits of having so many customers together
at one location offers a cost savings in addition to a strong business
benefit.
"Mark your calendars today for February 2008!" said Brad
Austin of Viracon, and slated to become the President of GANA during
the co-event. "GANA is thrilled to combine the BEC Conference
and Glass Week, our two most successful events, together in 2008.
As usual, they will focus on the most important topics facing our
industry."
Attendees may register for either event, or may register for both
with a modest discount. Further details on both events will be released
later next year on the GANA website at www.glasswebsite.com, as
well as the Glass Week website at www.glassweek.com.
"As an industry leading trade association, GANA is committed
to providing the highest quality conference at the best possible
value to our current and future members," said Austin. "The
combination of important meeting topics, impressive guest speakers,
industry expert presenters, and the opportunity to socialize with
the largest architectural glass, metal, and glazing groups we have
ever assembled will make this an event you won't want to miss. I
look forward to seeing you!"
