 GANA Releases New Mirror Bulletin
February 10, 2012
The Glass Association of North America (GANA) of Topeka, Kan.,
released a new Glass Informational Bulletin (GIB) available for
download at no charge on its website,
according to a February 10 news release. The GIB, titled Green
Aspects of Mirror - The Reusability and Recyclability of Mirror
Products, focuses on how easily mirrors can be recycled into
inventive design products, a fundamental tenant of the green movement.
"Mirror has been a great design tool for the past century,"
says Jim Ventre, GANA Mirror Division Chair, in the release. "Over
the past two decades, though, it has become even more valuable in
its ease of recyclability into other home uses. This Informational
Bulletin highlights the environmentally friendly aspects of mirror
as a key aspect of its versatility. Designers and architects will
find this free document thought-provoking and informative, and a
great tool in the green movement."
The GIB also addresses the environmentally conscious aspects of
the mirror manufacturing process. It is available as a free download
in the TechCenter section of the GANA website. Architects, specifiers
and designers are encouraged to download the document.
