GANA to Replace Glass Week with Annual
Conference
August 23, 2011

GANA's last Glass Week took place this past
March. |
Officials at the Glass Association of North America (GANA) in Topeka,
Kan., announced on August 22 the creation of a new event, the GANA
Annual Conference, which will replace Glass Week. The conference
will take place February 20-24, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota
in Sarasota, Fla.
"Glass Week was a great event for many, many years,"
says Ashley Charest, account executive of GANA. "After holding
the event in conjunction with the BEC Conference the last few years,
the GANA board of directors felt it was time to sunset Glass Week
and create a new conference that is more in line with GANA's current
and future goals."
The GANA Annual Conference will feature working meetings of the
GANA divisions, as well as various committees, subcommittees and
task groups. It also will feature a general session to provide education
and technical information for the group as a whole.
GANA's Leaders of the Glazing Industry Conference (LOGIC) will
remain in Las Vegas before the BEC Conference. Registration for
all events will begin later this year.
Registration for the GANA Fall Conference opened last week and
is available on the GANA website.
