February 22, 2011

The Glass Association of North America (GANA) announced that its technical director, Urmilla Sowell, will be a presenter at the Glass Performance Days (GPD) in Tampere, Finland on June 16-20.  This will be Sowell’s first presentation at the bi-annual event, long known for being one of the premier technical conferences in the glass and glazing industry.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to go to GPD to learn about the new technologies and efficiencies in the glass and glazing industry,” said Sowell. “This event always has a tremendous variety of presentations and exhibits that offer insight to the new processes and new products entering the marketplace.”

Sowell will present “Maneuvering the Glass and Glazing Industry through the Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy Maze: Resources, Standards, Codes and Associations.”

“To present at GPD on behalf of GANA is truly an honor,” said Sowell. “My presentation will cover the many global resources that are in the glass and glazing industry.”

Additional information about GPD is available through the event website.
