GANA Announces Solar Symposium in Kansas City
June 2, 2010
The Glass Association of North America (GANA) will hold its first
GANA Solar Symposium on Wednesday, June 30 in Kansas City, Mo.,
in conjunction with the ASTM E44.20 Glass for Solar Applications
meeting. The symposium features several presentations from top experts
in the newly energized solar glazing industry.
"The GANA Solar Symposium is yet another way that GANA is showing
its dedication to educating the glass and glazing industry on the
energy saving potential of architectural glass products," says
Urmilla Sowell, GANA technical director. "This event features
the strengths of the GANA Energy Committee and its commitment to
representing our members in every aspect of the solar energy movement."
Scheduled to speak are George Petzen of Indiana-based Linel Signature,
Joel Feingold of Pennsylvania-based Strainoptic Technologies Inc.,
and others from AGC Glass and PPG. Each will present a different
facet of the solar glazing industry. The event is open to anyone
in the construction industry looking to learn more about solar glazing
technologies and increased efficiency offered by glass and glazing.
"GANA remains the leader on energy-related issues for the glass
and glazing industry," said Sowell. "Furthermore, we are
the only association that fully represents the glass industry as
a whole on both technical and energy issues."
The GANA Solar Symposium will be held from 1 - 5 p.m. at the Westin
Crown Center in Kansas City, Mo.
