GANA
Building Envelope Contractors Division Announces New Technical Committee
Chair
The Glass Association of North America's (GANA) Building Envelope
Contractors (BEC) Division announced that Henry Taylor of Kawneer
Company, Inc., is the new chairperson of its Technical Committee.
Taylor helmed the committee's recent meeting in Las Vegas as a part
of the Ninth Annual BEC Conference. He succeeds Charles Clift of
Curtain Wall Design and Consulting Inc.
"The BEC Division Technical Committee has a proven history
of success," said Taylor. "I look forward to guiding the
Committee as we build on those successes and continue our valuable
contributions to this industry. I hope that others will see the
impact that the Technical Committee can have and will join our effort."
Taylor currently manages the newly formed Architectural Services
Team for Kawneer. In that position, Taylor works with the American
Institute of Architects (AIA) as Kawneer's contact for AIA CES programs,
as well as working with the USGBC as Kawneer's contact for promoting
Kawneer products for their interaction with LEED.
Taylor graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Marketing. He started his career in construction
with a private industrial developer and builder in the Atlanta metro
area. He later joined the Kawneer Company as an Architectural Sales
Representative, where he worked in the Detroit market before moving
into Field Sales in western Michigan and northern Indiana.
He returned to Atlanta to work with YKK before joining Arch Aluminum
and Glass in sales and marketing for the company. At Arch, Taylor
worked on their national marketing effort to introduce new products
and assist in the promotion of existing products, before returning
to Kawneer in his current position.
