Edgetech
I.G. Inc. to Present at Glass Processing Days China 2006
Gerhard Reichert, vice president of international business development
for Cambridge, Ohio-based Edgetech I.G. Inc., is scheduled to present
"Improving Long-Term Energy Performance of Insulating Glass
in Buildings," at Glass Processing Days (GPD) China 2006, taking
place April 23-24 in Beijing.
In his presentation, Reichert will review the latest technological
trends for improving insulating glass quality and optimizing insulating
glass energy performance. According to information from Edgetech,
the primary butyl seal in insulating glass technology has been responsible
for providing durability to the energy saving properties of glass
in buildings. Reichert will discuss two new trends in improving
the consistency and quality of the primary butyl seal. All new robotic
gunning is also being introduced to the market, along with online
butyl extrusion automation, to offer new standards in quality for
insulating glass design and production. Edgetech says these new
technological achievements in processing energy saving glass products
translate into longer lasting, high performance IG units for improved
energy management and environmental safety in buildings.
GPD China will be held at the Landmark Hotel Beijing. The China
Glass Exhibition will immediately follow. For more information,
