DuPont Emphasizes Need for Global Collaboration in Addressing Worker Safety
September 9, 2011

As a sponsor of the XIX World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, DuPont will have a prominent presence at the gathering, September 11–15 in Istanbul. Uniting its activities under the theme, “A Global Collaboratory on Protection,” the company will emphasize the necessity of using an inclusive, collaborative approach in responding to the world’s safety challenges.

“For all of us who value a safe and healthy work environment, the World Congress is an excellent forum for the free exchange of knowledge, best practices and new technologies,” says Mark P. Vergnano, DuPont executive vice president. “By fostering the cooperation necessary to develop a global prevention culture and greater protection for workers and their families, it provides a real-world example of what we at DuPont call ‘inclusive innovation.’”

The World Congress on Safety and Health at Work is the world's largest international event on occupational safety and health. Held every three years, it draws together several thousand leaders and influencers of workplace safety policy from industry, government and labor to present and discuss emerging safety research, trends, best practices and innovations.
