CZECH REPUBLIC - DuPont Opens Recycled Safety Glass Interlayers Facility
October 15, 2010

DuPont opened a new production facility today that it says will support the market in Central and Eastern Europe with its Butacite® G safety glass interlayers made entirely from recycled material. Seventy workers will be employed at the facility.

"This investment demonstrates DuPont's focus on Central and Eastern Europe and supports our commitment to deliver science-based innovations and sustainable solutions for our customers," said William J. Harvey, president, DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. "The patented technology used at this facility enables product waste to be recycled and provides value through its reuse in safety glass interlayers made of 100 percent recycled material."

"This new production facility for Butacite® G contributes to the economic development of the area and its central location will enable efficient distribution of product throughout Europe," said Sona Krausova, DuPont country leader in the Czech Republic.
