Dow Corning Names Two New Leaders For the Construction
Industry
Dow Corning has announced the appointment of two new leaders for its construction
business unit.
Jean-Paul Hautekeer has been named European construction industry
director. Based out of the Dow Corning European headquarters in
Seneffe, Belgium, Hautekeer will lead all technical and commercial
activities for the construction business unit across Europe.
Joaquin (Joe) Tam has been appointed the business unit's global
fenestration marketing manager. In this role, Tam will assume leadership
for the fenestration marketing efforts around the globe. Fenestration
deals with the design of windows and doors in buildings.
"Jean-Paul will be a great asset in this role as he works to
meet expanding industry demands across Europe," said Ron Fillmore,
global executive director for Dow Corning's construction business
unit. "His more than 15 years of experience in technical and
commercial roles provides considerable depth and breadth of understanding
of customers' needs."
Hautekeer has been with Dow Corning since 1990. In his most recent
marketing role, he led Dow Corning's insulating glass and fenestration
markets.
Tam comes to the construction industry after three years as the
Asia area manager for Dow Corning's Xiameter brand.
"With the growing influence of China in the fenestration market,
Joe's in-depth knowledge of Asia, along with his leadership skills,
will make him a terrific asset for the segment," Fillmore said.
Based in Shanghai, Tam has extensive business development experience
in China and across Asia Pacific. While working for Xiameter, he
took on the challenge of building market awareness across multiple
industry sectors in Asia-Pacific.
