DORMA Hires New Director

David Katz recently joined DORMA Architectural Hardware in Reamstown, Pa., in the new position of director of business development and technology. His responsibilities include identifying opportunities and developing programs to pursue and secure sales growth outside traditional contract hardware channels. These efforts will include an emphasis on technology and markets.

Katz brings more than 12 years of experience in the security industry, and has previously held executive positions in technology and engineering management, with experience in creating and leading teams, product management, strategic planning and research and development. He has also created product portfolios geared to increase customer focus and satisfaction.

Katz earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree, both in electrical engineering, from Pennsylvania State University. He is continuing studies in strategy and innovation from MIT/Sloan School of Business in Cambridge, Mass.
