United States Aluminum Introduces The Defender Series, Blast Resistant Storefront Systems

United States Aluminum has introduced its newest line of storefront systems, the blast-resistant Defender Series.

According to the company, the product line, BR604 and BR606 blast resistant storefront systems, provide protection from potential explosions. A United States Aluminum press release indicates that the systems have been successfully tested to withstand explosions from pressure levels of one to six pounds per square inch.

The Defender Series features the company's patented Storm Front™ Entrance, screw spline assembly for panel type erection and high performance subsill and steel reinforced mullions. The BR604 system is specified for pressure levels of 1-4 P.S.I. and BR606 is specified for pressure levels of 6 P.S.I. The Defender Series, available in anodized and painted finishes, accepts 1 5/16" insulated laminated glass.
