MDPD Says Shifting Glass Pallet Led to Construction Worker's May 4 Death
May 27, 2011

The Miami-Dade Police Department continues to investigate the death of Wilfredo Tour, the 45-year-old construction worker who, on May, died after hurricane-resistant glass and other materials fell on him while inside a container truck.

According to Detective Javier Baez, “The victim was crushed by a large pallet of glass he was trying to unload. It appears a strap snapped, causing the pallet to shift, and crushed the victim. The case is still under investigation.”
The name of the company for which Tour worked, nor the supplier of the glass products, have been released at this time.
