DORMA Group North America Creates DORMA Entrance
Systems Division
DORMA Group North America has created a new division, DORMA Entrance Systems
(DES). The new DES unit will incorporate DORMA Automatics, Crane
Revolving Door and Carolina Door Controls under a single management
focus and will offer a broad assortment of commercial facility entrance
capabilities and products in the areas of pedestrian flow, safety
and security.
"These organizational changes reflect DORMA's commitment to
the North American market. They support our current expansion and
prepare us for the longer term," says Larry O'Toole, chief
executive officer of DORMA Group North America. "The establishment
of DORMA Entrance Systems underscores our mission to offer a simple,
convenient and reliable way for specifying, ordering and maintaining
revolving and automatic door systems."
Crane Revolving Door in Lake Bluff, Ill., works in partnership with
its customers to achieve each architect's or designer's vision.
The company's ironworkers, sculptors and artisans use a variety
of materials including stainless steel, bronze, nickel and silver,
as well as wood and aluminum, to create its entrances.
DORMA Automatics, also in Lake Bluff, Ill., designs and markets
a line of sliding, swinging, folding and revolving door systems
for a wide range of applications, particularly focused on the healthcare
and hospitality industries.
Carolina Door Controls Inc., of Durham, N.C., is a distributor of
automatic doors with regional offices throughout the Eastern United
States. The company specializes in sales, installation and service
of automatic doors and entrance systems for commercial and industrial
applications.
