Top
General Contractors Listed
May 19, 2009
McGraw Hill Construction has released its list of the top general
contractors, based on 2008 domestic revenue. Some glass-industry
experts say now is the time to be strengthening relationships with
general contractors.
For example, Henry Taylor of Kawneer advised during a speech during
the BEC Conference earlier this year that contract glaziers take
a look at who their general contractors are. He recommended focusing
on working with those contractors with whom they already have a
good relationshipbut to also introduce themselves to those
particularly strong contractors out there.
"Make sure you service them well," Taylor said. "I
think servicing is going to be key over the next few years."
He added, "Make sure you know the value you bring to your general
contractor and relay that to him."
