C & C Glass Founder George Comstock Passes Away

George Comstock, of Julian, Calif., founder of C & C Glass in Chula Vista, Calif., passed away suddenly on December 5. Comstock was also a leader involved in reviving the Southern California Glass Dealers Association, a forerunner to the California Glass Association and today's Americas Glass Association.

Comstock was born in Bennington, Vt., and served as a Marine in the Korean War, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a businessman for 36 years, and retired in 2004.

Comstock is survived by his wife, Carol, and many loving family members and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at his home December 16. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family requests donations be sent to the Chula Vista Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 626, Chula Vista, Calif., 91912-0626.
