C & C Glass Founder George Comstock Passes Away
George Comstock, of Julian, Calif., founder of C & C Glass in Chula
Vista, Calif., passed away suddenly on December 5. Comstock was
also a leader involved in reviving the Southern California Glass
Dealers Association, a forerunner to the California Glass Association
and today's Americas Glass Association.
Comstock was born in Bennington, Vt., and served as a Marine in
the Korean War, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was
a businessman for 36 years, and retired in 2004.
Comstock is survived by his wife, Carol, and many loving family
members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at his home December 16.
