July 17, 2009

C.R. Laurence Co. Inc. (CRL) has announced two recent employee promotions.

Mario Estrada has been promoted to the position of export sales manager at the company's Los Angeles headquarters. Estrada brings to his new position four years of experience serving Sommer & Maca as both manager and assistant manager of the export department. During those years, he completed his ICAO, IATA and Title 49 CFR regulation training. Most recently, he served as a technical sales representative for the company in the Chicago area. In his new position, Estrada will be responsible for coordinating sales that result from CRL's business in Central and South America, as well as the company's expanded global distribution network.

Assisting Estrada is Diane Morales, who has been named assistant export manager. Morales has worked with CRL for more than 12 years, most recently in the export department. Prior to that she worked in product management. She brings experience in international communications and coordinating logistics to her new position.

"These promotions are part of the CRL's commitment to our international customers and our expanding global network," says Carlos Lemus, CRL human resources director. "Our import/export department is a vital part of our organization, as we move hundreds of shipments to and from overseas locations every year. Our goal is to provide the best service possible to customers all over the world through new distribution centers, while maintaining our leadership position in the glass and architectural hardware marketplace worldwide.
