CGI
introduces Miami-Dade County Approved Large Missile Impact Resistant
Single Hung Window
Construction Glass Industries Corp. (CGI), a Miami-based manufacturer
of architectural grade high-end aluminum impact resistant windows
and doors, has introduced another Miami-Dade County approved impact-resistant
product, its Series 360 single hung window. Miami-Dade County is
considered to have among the most stringent building code requirements
in the country.
"We think our customers are going to be excited about our new
single hung window line. We were able to design another competitively
priced window with features and performance that far exceed industry
standards," explained Flavio Quesada, president of CGI. "Adding
a high performance single hung window to our portfolio complements
our line of casement, project-out and fixed windows, and our line
of French doors," he added. According to the company, the Series
360 have received Miami Dade approval for sizes as large as 54 inches
x 96 inches and 42 inches x 120 inches with design pressures as
high as +100 and -210 psf.
The windows are available in standard white, bronze or driftwood
ESP paint finishes. Other features include a concealed balance system,
a patented carrier-slide mechanism that provides ultra smooth operation,
enclosed sill design, tubular rails on all sides of the sash, easy
glass replacement via a stationary upper sash, custom self locking
sill mounted egress locks, and VancevaŽ Storm laminated glass.
CGI's line of all aluminum windows offers a similar look to wood
windows without the concerns of rot-decay and maintenance issues
associated with wood windows, creating a long lasting solution for
hurricane protection.
