Canada and Intermac Canada will soon complete their move into a
brand new Canadian Headquarters located in Mirabel, QC, northwest
of Montreal via Highway 15, exit 31. Construction of the new Canadian
headquarters began in October 2008, and the new 25,000-square foot
structure contains nearly 6,000 square feet of space dedicated for
offices and meeting and training rooms. A number of green building
approaches have been incorporated into the design, such as the liberal
use of glass, which will let in abundant sunlight and lessen the
need for electric lighting.
According to a company announcement, 6,000 square feet have been
devoted to a showroom, where Biesse and Intermac machines will be
demonstrated at in-house events such as the company's "One2One"
educational series. The building also features a 13,000-square foot,
8-ton craned warehouse.
"The headquarters site in Mirabel was strategically chosen
for easy access to freight transportation at the logistical airport
of Montreal: Mirabel International Airport," said Federico
Broccoli, president and chief executive officer of the North American
operations of Biesse and Intermac. "The new Canadian headquarters
will be located 5.8 km (3.6 miles) from this airport, and the proximity
will allow Biesse to maintain our outstanding track record for shipping
and provide the highest level of service and support to our Canadian
Customers."
