Anniversary
August 22, 2012
Champaign, Ill.-based Bacon & Van Buskirk Glass Co. Inc. will
celebrate its 75th anniversary this fall. The company was founded
by Verne Van Buskirk, grandfather of current-day president Rod Van
Buskirk, in 1938.
Verne Van Buskirk got his start in the industry working with T.M.
Bacon & Sons Paint & Glass in 1927. In 1937, T.M. Bacon,
the owner of T.M. Bacon & Sons Paint & Glass, retired and
sold the company's glass department to Verne Van Buskirk.

to formally incorporate Bacon & Van Buskirk Glass Co. Noah Bacon
passed away in 1955, leaving the Van Buskirk family as the sole
owners and operators of the company.
The company's third-generation owner, Rod Van Buskirk, purchased
Bacon & Van Buskirk in 1997.
