Sail on TGA's Management Retreat
In 2009 the Texas Glass Association (TGA) is offering glass companies
the chance to mix business with pleasure as part of the TGA at Sea
Management Retreat. The four-day cruise aboard Carnival's Ecstasy
will set sail from Galveston the afternoon of Thursday April 23,
port in Cozumel, returning to Galveston on Monday morning April
26.
"It's an ideal type of cruise because you only lose one and
a half days away from the shop," says Virginia Lee, TGA executive
director.
In addition to all the fun and sun that comes with being on a cruise,
the event will also offer information and networking opportunities
for participants, including presentations, receptions and other
social activities. Dr. Bill Crawford, PhD Performance Solutions
Facilitator, will give a presentation specifically on feedback skills
for manages and supervisors. The event will also include the TGA's
annual meeting and awards, a meeting with the Architect Association
of Mexico, golf, shopping and more.
Cost of the retreat ranges from $2100 for the penthouse suite with
a balcony to $1250 for inside cabin rooms. Prices, which are based
on double occupancy, include meals and accommodations with some
restrictions.
