Asahi Glass Changes Outlook, Personnel

Asahi Glass Co. has revised its financial outlook down for fiscal 2008, stating that it expects operating results for the AGC Group as a whole to be affected by decreases in demand in various markets including housing, automobile, and home electronics, resulting from worldwide aggravation of the economic environment due to the financial crisis originating in the U.S.

The impact of the "financial crisis" can be seen in the company's financial report, also released today.

Alongside the change in its financial outlook, Asahi has announced changes to its executive management.
