Apogee Announces Increased Cash Dividend and Share Re-Purchase Authorization

Apogee Enterprises has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.0815 per share, payable on November 12, 2008 to shareholders of record on October 28, 2008. The dividend of $0.0815 per share represents an increase of 10 percent from the previous quarterly dividend of $0.074 per share. The company has approximately 28.4 million shares outstanding.

In addition, Apogee announced that its board of directors increased its share repurchase authorization by 1 million shares to 3,250,000 shares of the company's common stock; approximately 1,430,000 shares have already been purchased under this authorization.
