Apogee chief financial officer Jim Porter and director of investor
relations Mary Ann Jackson, joined Huffer at the opening bell ceremony.
"It was exciting and fun," Huffer says. "And to
have the recognition for Apogee and its achievements was very special."
While the opening ceremony was the primary reason for Huffer's
trip to New York, the visit also afforded him the opportunity to
take pride in his company's handiwork, as the NASDAQ building as
well as other buildings in New York City have benefitted from architectural
glass fabricated by Apogee.
As Huffer explains, "It was also great to have the opportunity
to highlight our energy-efficient projects in New York."
And what does Huffer attribute to the two consecutive years of
record earnings for Apogee?
"Having the right products, right service and quality simultaneous
with strong markets. Our employees have done a superb job in bringing
value to their customers," Huffer says.
