Anderson Joins AAMA Staff as Codes and Industry Affairs
Manager
Chuck
Anderson has been named the codes and industry affairs manager for
the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). He
will serve as a technical liaison between AAMA and affiliated industry
organizations, including standards-setting associations, building
products coalitions and government agencies, as well as state, local
and international code groups.
"Chuck has 22 years of engineering-related experience, eight of
which involve fenestration, and has been a valuable AAMA contributor
for many years," says Rich Walker, AAMA's president and chief executive
officer. "Chuck also is registered as a professional engineer in
the state of North Carolina, which will help with his code-related
responsibilities in Southeastern states."
Anderson earned a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering
from West Virginia Institute of Technology and graduated cum laude.
Most recently, Anderson served on the board of directors for the
Northeast Window and Door Association and serves on the Code Development
Committee of the International Code Council's International Energy
Conservation Code. In addition, he previously served on the board
of directors for the National Fenestration Rating Council and AAMA
Southeast Region.
As AAMA's codes and industry affairs manager, Anderson fills the
position vacated by Ken Brenden, who assumes the role of technical
standards manager and now oversees the development and distribution
of all AAMA technical documents and standards.
