Kawneer and Alcoa Foundation Aid Bloomsburg Flood Victims
October 3, 2011

Kawneer in Norcross, Ga., and Alcoa Foundation awarded a $35,000 grant to the American Red Cross chapter in Bloomsburg, Pa. This grant is intended to aid victims of the flooding that occurred when the Susquehanna River overflowed its banks due to Tropical Storm Lee.

Kawneer, an Alcoa company, employs approximately 380 people at the Bloomsburg plant, which was damaged during the flood.

"As flood levels rose, the safety and well-being of our Bloomsburg employees and the surrounding community were our first concerns. I am thankful for Alcoa Foundation's support during this community's time of need and I look forward to restoring operations at our Bloomsburg plant," says Diana Perreiah, vice president of Alcoa Building and Construction Systems and general manager of Kawneer.
