AkzoNobel's Mitchell to Speak at 2012 Facades & Design Delivery Summit NYC

Ben Mitchell, extrusion coatings sales and marketing manager for AkzoNobel, Columbus, Ohio, will be a key speaker at the 2012 Facades & Design Delivery Summit, January 23-25, in New York, according to a January 6 company news release.

With a theme of "Examination of Global Currents in Design, Planning, and Sustainability for Modern Facades," this is the third annual conference hosted by the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC).

On January 24, Mitchell will present "From North America to The Middle East - Facade Performance, Constructability & Aesthetics." The focus of his presentation includes an overview of liquid versus powder, mica versus metallic, chrome versus chromate free pretreatment, the use of heavy metals in paints, field repair options including compliant technology, as well as a discussion about the choice between paint and anodize.
