Acurlite Completes Zone 1, Large Missile Impact Testing

Acurlite Structural Skylights, Inc., a unitized skylight manufacturer, has announced that the company has recently completed successful testing of Zone 1, large missile impact-resistant and hurricane-resistant skylight system with 1-5/16" insulated glazing at NCTL in York, Pa.

This system meets the requirements of the Florida Building Code 2004 TAS 201, 202, and 203 Protocols, according to the company. Located in Berwick, Pa., Acurlite now has the ability to market this newly engineered product to hurricane prone areas as well as offering large missile impact for government buildings.
