ASTM Glass and Solar Energy Committees Will Collaborate with U.S. Department of Energy on Solar Standards

Representatives from the United States Department of Energy, ASTM International Committee E44 on Solar, Geothermal, and Other Energy Sources, and ASTM International Committee C14 on Glass and Glass Products will take part in an a virtual organizational meeting next week that will focus on solar glass. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 29, at 1:00 p.m. EDT and will include discussion of topics such as:

• Glass rating for withstanding acid rain;
• Photovoltaic applications;
• Coatings;
• Durability; and
• Solar hot water and heating systems.

The meeting is open to all interested parties at no cost.
