AAMA Summer Conference Opens in Chicago
June 7, 2010
The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) conference
opened its summer conference in suburban Chicago on June 6, with
a preview of its newly-redesigned website, www.aamanet.org.
The website officially launches today.
We have revamped the look and feel of the site, said
association marketing manager Angela Dickson, youll
see a lot of member feedback incorporated in it.
The association held 23 committee, working and task group meetings
Sunday afternoon to open the conference, which runs until Wednesday.
Dickson also provided a preview of some of the new professional
training programs being developed for window installation professionals
and scheduled to launch in September. Its a 30-hour
course, she explained, and a lot of work and effort
has gone into it.
"Now all we need is a name, she quipped as she previewed
several possibilities for those in the marketing committee meeting.
The committee also learned that results of the associations
annual research report, authored by Ducker Research, should be imminent.
The associations membership committee discussed a variety
of programs and outreach efforts to non-members. As with almost
every professional and all construction membership organization,
the groups membership numbers are down - but ever so slightly
(less than five percent), a testament to the high value members
see in such membership.
Stay tuned to USGNN.com for further updates from the conference.
